Coast Guard crews, local agencies suspend search for 1 near Belmar, N.J.

BELMAR, N.J. - The Coast Guard suspended its search for a 20-year-old man Friday after he went swimming and could not be located off the coast of Belmar Thursday.

Missing is Pardip Singh, 20, from Carteret, N.J.

The Coast Guard suspended its search at 12:17 p.m. after searching approximately 30 square miles for approximately 6 hours.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet, N.J., a rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., and members of the Belmar Police Department conducted the search.
