Coast Guard, Middlesex County Sheriff respond to boat accident on Rappahannock River

WATER VIEW, Va. – Coast Guard and Middlesex County Sheriff's Department crews are searching for a missing woman after responding to a boat allision on the Rappahannock River late Monday evening.

At approximately 10 p.m., the Coast Guard was notified that a 25-foot pleasure craft had allided with a piling in the Rappahannock River near Water View.

There were 12 people aboard including children - 11 are injured and one is missing. Responders are treating the injured and searching for the missing woman.
