Coast Guard rescues 2, dog in Shark River, N.J.

SHARK RIVER, N.J. - The Coast Guard rescued two people and their dog inside Shark River Wednesday after their 48-foot boat they were aboard ran aground on the jetty.

Rescued were Eddie Fuller, 36 and Nadiein Fresnely, 36.

The Coast Guard received a call at approximately 9:35 p.m. over VHF Channel 16 from a crewmember aboard the Nadiein Ann reporting they were aground and taking on water.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Shark River arrived on scene and evacuated both people and their dog from the boat and were transported to the Coast Guard station were they were transferred to emergency medical personnel.
