Coast Guard Cutter Dependable to return home after 41-day patrol

CAPE MAY, N.J. – The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Dependable is scheduled to return to their homeport of Cape May Tuesday after a 41-day North Atlantic deployment.

The crew of the Dependable is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 a.m. at Coast Guard Training Center Cape May.

While on patrol, the crew of the Dependable was tasked with enforcing fisheries and safety regulations, marine mammal protection laws and conducted more than 40 fisheries boardings.

Throughout the patrol, the crew conducted numerous drills and training exercises, which included helicopter operations with Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J. 

Media are invited to attend the crew of the Dependable’s homecoming and interview the crew and their families. In order to gain access to the Training Center Cape May facility located at 1 Munro Ave., Cape May, media interested in attending must notify Coast Guard Public Affairs at 609-677-2204 no later than 3 p.m. Monday.
