Coast Guard aircrew medevacs 1 near Atlantic City, N.J.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Coast Guard medevaced a 30-year-old man from aboard a 51-foot boat 85 miles off the coast of Atlantic City Wednesday.

The Coast Guard received a call at 2:13 p.m. from a crewmember aboard the Miss Shauna, homeported in New Bedford, Mass., reporting one of the crewman was experiencing symptoms of a possible heart attack.

A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City arrived on scene and hoisted the man aboard their helicopter.

The man was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md., for treatment.

He is reported to be in stable condition.
