Coast Guard hosts 2009 Maritime Hurricane Contingency Plan Workshop

Port partners in the Port of Baltimore come together every year prior to the start of hurricane season to review their preparedness plan in the event of a hurricane in the Upper Chesapeake Bay. "It's not only important that one operate, exercise and train for a response, but to plan as well," said Captain Brian D. Kelley, the Captain of the Port of Baltimore. "With the great relationship that we have with our port partners, we are able to plan accordingly so that we are fully prepared for the 2009 hurricane season."
