Maryland Coast Guardsman named Enlisted Person of the Year

Grandjean, a food service specialist from the Coast Guard Cutter James Rankin, receives his Coast Guard Enlisted Person of the Year award for the Baltimore area from Denise Nooe on behalf of Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore Tuesday, March 17, 2009.  Grandjean was nominated due to his exceptional performance in leadership, personal and work ethics, Coast Guard knowledge, teamwork and by exemplifying Coast Guard core values.  Grandjean also received additional honors from Sen. Benjamin Cardin, Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, Congressman John Sarbanes, Congressman Elijah Cummings as well as the Annapolis, Md., and Baltimore Councils of the Navy League.
