CUTTER TAMPA SERCHES FOR MISSING SAILBOAT


PORTSMOUTH, Va. - (May 9) A watchstander stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Tampa, a 270-foot medium endurance cutter homeported here, searches for the missing sailboat Flying Colours off the coast of North Carolina today. The 54-foot sailboat from Washington D.C., with four people aboard, has been missing since Monday.

Several Coast Guard air crews from Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., Air Station Clearwater, Fla., and Rescue Coordination Center Norfolk, Va., have coordinated the search of over 10,000 square miles for the sailboat.
