Local Coast Guardsmen retires after 41 years of service

Portsmouth, Va., Feb. 9 — Coast Guard Atlantic Area commander, Vice Adm. Brian Peterman, presents CWO4 Donald F. Allen with President George W. Bush's Certificate of Appreciation for Allen's 41 years of service to the Coast Guard. During his career, Allen served at a total of 16 units and earned countless awards and medals.
